Aontas na Mac Léínn in Éirinn (AMLÉ)
Aontas na Mac Léínn in Éirinn (formerly known as USI) is the national representative body for over 374,000 students in third level education on the Island of Ireland. AMLÉ is a membership organisation – members are the affiliated Students’ Unions around Ireland, North and South.
All ATU Donegal students are also members of AMLÉ. The student affiliation costs for AMLÉ are covered for each student by ATU Students’ Union Donegal. The AMLÉ Coiste Gnó (or executive team) consists of 11 elected officers. Each of whom has an area of representation that directly effects students across the island of Ireland.
What is the AMLÉ?
AMLÉ is committed to campaigning on behalf of the students of Ireland for a better education system, fairer student support, genuine diversity in access to education and adequate funding for all students.
Your local AMLÉ Rep for the BMW Region is Amelia Lown. Amelia represents the Border, Midlands and Western region alongside Students’ Unions across ATU Donegal, ATU Sligo, ATU St. Angela’s, ATU Galway/Mayo, University of Galway, TUS Athlone, Maynooth University and Dundalk IT.
