Student Assistance Fund (SAF)
The Student Assistance Fund (financed by the Higher Education Authority and the EU) provides, where possible, limited support to ATU students in financial difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances or students who are disadvantaged and require additional financial support with various college related expenses (accommodation, transport, food, books/materials, medical costs, utility bills or childcare).
Student Assistance Fund – This limited fund provides financial assistance to full-time students who are experiencing financial difficulties while attending college. Details are provided on the student notice The following students are not eligible for funding
- Incoming ERASMUS students
- Students with a previous higher education qualification at the same NFQ level or who are undertaking a second programme at the same level. **However, in extreme circumstances such students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Students who are registered as International Students are not eligible to apply
